Olympic Club Foundation’s 4th Annual “Post Up Challenge” 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament had a Record Number of 29 Teams

This year’s event was once again held in the world class facilities at the Olympic Club, co-chaired by Mark Ohleyer, Olympic Club Foundation Board member and Tevis Martin, former Olympic Club Foundation Board member.

The Olympic Club Foundation Post Up Challenge 3 on 3 basketball tournament was a terrific success, with over 100 elite high school athletes from six Bay Area Counties and some skilled Weekend Warriors participating. The hoopsters were treated to a great day of competitive basketball, shooting contests and sportsmanship that was watched by peers, family and a host of coaches from the high school and college levels.

The success of the tournament was greatly due to the support, enthusiasm and dedication from the great Olympic Club Basketball Staff.

High School Girls Division Added for this Year

The addition of 8 outstanding Bay Area high school girl’s teams doubled the participation in the high school division as well as doubled the fun, great sportsmanship and competition. Rounding out the tournament, we had 16 High School Boy’s Teams and 5 Weekend Warriors teams– the gyms were filled to the rim with a great day of hoops.

Much Needed Funds Raised for Bay Area Youth Sports Programs

The 4th Annual Post Up Challenge 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament raised over $23,000 that will fund athletic programs for deserving student athletes all around the Bay Area.

The Olympic Club Foundation has supported the San Francisco Bay Area basketball community by funding gym renovations, basketball program expenses, and the acquisition of equipment for teams and leagues. The Olympic Club Foundation is one of the Bay Area’s leading supporters of youth sports programs. $3,000,000 in grants has been funded to organizations that share our belief that participation in organized athletics enriches young lives and develops future community leaders.
