Board of Directors Professional Biographies


John Abendroth PGA Professional Director of Golf Operations Celtic Golf Management Board Member 2004	Mr. Abendroth is a 40-year Olympic Club member and has served on club related committees for over 25-years. John is a co-founder and director of golf operations for Celtic Golf Management which owns and operates Plumas Pines Golf Resort and owns the Franklin Canyon Golf Course. John is a former PGA-Tour player, PGA-Member, NCAA-All-American, co-host of Hooked on Golf and former golf club champion of the Olympic Club. He graduated from Lincoln High School in San Francisco and Weber State University in Ogden Utah and is a member of the Sports Hall of Fame for both schools. John resides in Burlingame with his wife Dr. Rose Abendroth, phd and have two children, Kara and Michael who is an Olympic Club member.

Barbara Bechelli Firebird Productions CEO/Owner Board Member 2003	Ms. Bechelli attended the University of Washington, receiving a B.A. in Applied Music. She was a retail buyer where her merchandising expertise led to her professional partnership with husband, Richard Bechelli co-owning New Works International Company designing, manufacturing and importing Men's knitwear. Ms. Bechelli is an active philanthropist serving on the Board for Raphael House, advisor for the University of San Francisco's President's Round Table for the School of Business and the St. Ignatius Worship Commission. An active member of the Women's Golf Section at The Olympic Club.

Mark Brosche Borel Private Bank & Trust Co. Senior Vice President Board Member 2006	Mr. Brosche has managed and owned lodging properties throughout the U.S. for over 25 years. He worked in management with Hyatt Hotels and in corporate and commercial real estate finance with Bank of America. Over the past several years Mr. Brosche has focused on advisory assignments to assist established lodging industry contacts who are seeking financing to facilitate development, acquisition and refinancing. Mr. Brosche graduated from Santa Clara University and attended Golden State University for post-graduate courses in finance. He has received professional status as a Certified Hotel Administrator from the American Hotel & Motel Association.

Steven Carnevale RSK Enterprises Partner Board Member 2006	Mr. Carnevale is a partner with RSK enterprises an acquisition and turnaround firm. In addition he manages Silicon Valley Strategies, a consulting firm which provides advisory services. He has been a venture capitalist and lead investor actively involved with the development of high-level strategies and operations. Mr. Carnevale has been on the Board of Directors of numerous public and private companies and has extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance and governance issues. Mr. Carnevale is a graduate of the University of Michigan with an Engineering degree and a concentration in Marketing. He is the author of numerous technical papers and holds several patents.

Jack Coan Renaissance Technologies, LLC Managing Director Board Member 2007	Mr. Coan is a Managing Director with oversight responsibility for institutional business development and investor relations for Renaissance Technologies, LLC, New York-based registered investment advisor specializing in quantitatively managed hedge funds. He has been a member of the Olympic Club since 2002. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Mr. Coan and his family have resided in the Bay Area since 1992. He is one of eight children, all of whom were active in athletics through college. Their collective experience instilled his belief in the Olympic Club Foundation’s philosophy that participation in athletics enriches the lives of young men and women. Mr. Coan graduated from Harvard University in 1988 with a BA in Economics. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ross School Foundation and the Advisory Committee of the Friends of Harvard Hockey.

Jane Cook Founder/Manager Whittier Trust Company Board Member 2008	Ms. Cook was the Founding Member of The Whittier Trust Company’s office in San Francisco, which she has managed for 12 years. Jane has 25 years experience in the financial services industry, mostly in trust administration and investment management. In addition to completing the American Bankers’ Association Graduate Trust School, she holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation. She also has a BS degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University. Jane joined the Olympic Club in 2006, primary to be an active member in the Tennis Section, including playing on some OC teams. She is also a member of the California Tennis Club and The City Club of San Francisco. When Jane is not playing tennis, she enjoys serving as a member of the Planned Giving Committee and as a Lector at Grace Cathedral, as well as a member of the San Francisco Ballet’s Professional Advisors Committee. Over the years, Jane has worked on a number of civic and cultural boards and committees. Music is of particular interest to her. Jane grew up in Springfield, Illinois and lived in Portland, Maine for a few years, prior to moving to San Francisco in 1993.

Fred Dame Beam Wine Estates Director of Prestige Accounts Board Member 2005	Mr. Dame, a Master Sommelier brings a blend of experience, expertise and enthusiasm to the world of wine. He is the first American to have served as President of the Court of Master Sommeliers Worldwide. One of just 76 Americans to have passed the Master Sommelier Examination, Mr. Dame was the first to successfully pass all three parts in a single year. This feat and his high score won him the coveted Krug Cup of the British Guild of Sommeliers. He founded the American Branch of The Court of Master Sommeliers and has played an active role in the expansion of the Master Sommelier program throughout America. He is currently serving as the President of the Guild of Sommeliers Education Foundation. A sixth generation Californian, Mr. Dame graduated from Washington and Lee University with a degree in journalism and communications.

David Davidson Mikles Miller Management Portfolio Manager Board Member 2003	Mr. Davidson is portfolio manager with Mikles Miller Management in Century City. Mr. Davidson is a highly organized investment specialist who is manages multi-million dollar accounts and is anxious to commit to the Foundation in promoting youth athletic programs. Born and raised in New York Mr. Davidson relocated to Los Angeles and received his degree from the University of Southern California. Mr. Davidson is a seven-year member of The Olympic Club.

Michael Delagnes Delagnes, Linder & Duey LLP Partner Board Member 2004	Mr. Delagnes is a San Francisco native and a long time member of the Olympic Club having served on the O.C. finance committee and is a past chairman of the O.C. Tennis Section. He currently practices in San Francisco as both an attorney and a CPA specializing in the area of taxation. Mr. Delagnes is active on a number of for profit and non-profit boards in the Bay Area and was the co-founder of San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Society. Mike's education is local as he attended St. Ignatius High School and then went on to USF on a baseball scholarship. He received his MBA from the University of Santa Clara before attending USF Law School. Mike has been a long time advocate of using sports to mentor and guide youth and is looking forward to advancing the foundations core principles.

Scott Elrod Venture Capitalist Owner Board Member 2003	Mr. Elrod is the President and Director of McGraw Foundation, a Chicago based philanthropic organization focused on the conservation of wildlife fisheries. He serves on the Board of Visitors Committee as a member of the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan. Mr. Elrod is the owner of a venture capital company and has owned and operated several radio broadcasting stations. He was an executive for a Chicago advertising agency, as a director of The American Sports Institute and as a trustee of Allendale Association school for underprivileged kids. Mr. Elrod has been a member of the Olympic Club since 1969. Raised in Chicago, he received his BA from Colgate University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

John Espiritu Highland-Ferndale Partners, LLC Principal Board Member 2007	Mr. Espiritu is a founding partner of Highland-Ferndale Partners, a real estate investment firm. Prior to this, he was a banker with Western State Bank, United Overseas Bank, and Chicago First National Bank. He also specialized in audits with Price Waterhouse. He serves on numerous boards in the Philippines involved in real estate development, insurance, financial consulting, gaming and as Chairman of The Philippine News publication in San Francisco. He is currently the secretary for the Board of St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation and is also a member of the Parish Council of St. Ignatius Church. Mr. Espiritu graduated from The University of Michigan with a BA degree in Business and Accounting. He received his MBA in Finance from The University of Michigan. Mr. Espiritu is an avid golfer. He and his wife, Maria are busy raising five children.

Kevin Fitzgerald U.S. Advisors LLC Chief Executive Officer Board Member 2007	Mr. Fitzgerald is CEO of a real estate investment firm that operates a nationally diversified portfolio of properties currently valued at $2.5 billion. He moved to San Francisco in 1972 and has been an Olympic Club member for more than 25 years. Mr. Fitzgerald currently resides in Napa with his wife and two young children. He is a founder of Brave Kids, a national organization that supports chronically ill children and their families. He is self-educated and began his real estate career following a service in the United States Marine Corps.

John Hendrickson SRRi LLC Managing Partner Board Member 2008	Mr. Hendrickson resides in San Francisco with his wife and their five children. He is a managing partner with SFRi LLC, an independent investment and advisory firm specializing in insurance and related sectors. Mr. Hendrickson’s charitable activities include membership on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Opera, and serves as the co- chair of the investment and executive committees. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of St. John’s University School of Risk Management, and member of their education committee. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Children’s Day School in San Francisco, and a Trustee of the Stanford Water Polo Foundation. Mr. Hendrickson received a B.A. in History and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University in 1983. He is an avid swimmer, water polo player and skier.

Dave Hultman Davidson Investment Advisors Vice President Board Member 2005	Mr. Hultman is a Vice-President responsible for Business Development with Davidson Investment Advisors which is headquartered in Great Falls, Montana. He serves on the Board of Directors NYSE Arca and is the current Chair of the Northern California Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He serves on the Advisory Board of the School of Business and Management at the University of San Francisco, and the Stewardship Committee at St Ignatius Church. He earned his BS in Agricultural and Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis where he was a member of the tennis team. Mr. Hultman and his family are active in the Tennis Section of the Olympic Club.

Leo Loane American Airlines Regional Director of Sales Board Member 2005	Mr. Loane has been with American Airlines since 1979, and is currently the Regional Director for Sales & Marketing for Northern California. He is an active member of the Bay Area Business Travel Association, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and Silicon Valley Business Travel Organization. Mr. Loane serves on the San Jose Convention & Visitors Board, and previously served on the Board of the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco. He is also an active fundraiser and material provider for many other non-profit organizations including the United Way, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Mr. Loane received his BS in Public Administration at San DiegoState University.

Judith Lucius William Wilson Management Chief Financial Officer Board Member 2006	Ms. Lucius is the CFO of William Wilson Management Company specializing in tax, accounting, cash management and real estate development. In her prior career she was the CFO of VantagePoint Venture Partners, a venture capital firm. Ms. Lucius has also worked as a high school teacher, an executive assistant and a buyer at Southern Hills Country Club Golf Shop. Mrs. Lucius graduated form Southern Illinois University and was married to Olympic Club Legendary Golf Pro Jim Lucius. Together they worked diligently towards mentoring young people's interest in golf.

Craig Moody Moody & Hill LLP Partner Board Member 2005	Schooled in California, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Mexico, Germany and England Mr. Moody obtained his B. A. from Indiana University and a J. D. at The University of Michigan. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he started law practice in San Francisco in 1974 where he has his own firm, Moody & Hill, doing all manner of litigation in Federal and State Courts. He has been a board member and officer of The Olympic Club, The Olympic Club Foundation, The French Club and The Piedmont Swim Club in Piedmont, where he lives with his wife Kathy and son Ross.

Dennis Moriarty Cesari, Werner & Moriarty Senior Managing Partner Board Member 2004	Mr. Moriarty is the Senior Managing Partner at the Law Firm of Cesari, Werner and Moriarty. He has tried over 200 jury trials to conclusion in courts of general jurisdiction in California. He is a member of numerous Boards and Associations and has served as president of the American Board of Trial Advocates (SF Chapter) and Association of Defense Counsel. He is a Judge Pro Tem in settlement conferences, consultant expert in civil matters and a frequent lecturer in trial and insurance related matters for legal organizations and insurance carriers. Mr. Moriarty has been an active Olympic Club Member for many years serving as the Chair of Admissions and as President of the Board of Directors of The Olympic Club.

Tevis P. Martin III Collegiate Pacific Executive Vice President Board Member 2003	Mr. Martin is an Executive Vice President with Collegiate Pacific, a leading supplier of sports equipment and uniforms to schools, leagues and the military. Mr. Martin and his family are long time members of The Olympic Club. His volunteer activities include coaching youth sports, serving on Advisory Committees for school athletic programs, and active in school events. Mr. Martin is a graduate of UC California at Berkeley and earned an MBA at USF. He has served this Board as a member of the Executive Committee for three years (Secretary 2 years & CFO), Chaired the Grant Committee (2years), Golf Sponsor Development Committee and Finance Committee.

Marcus Newbury 21st Century Home Improvement Principal & President Board Member 2006	Mr. Newbury made his was to California from Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 18. Twenty years ago, he began a tremendously successful home improvement business venture. He is the Principal and President of 21st Century Home Improvement located in San Francisco. Mr. Newbury is married and has four children and two dogs. He is an avid Red Sox and SF Giants Fan. Marcus has been an Olympic Club member for three years. He loves to play basketball, ice hockey and golf. He also loves to ski, and enjoys traveling, music and theater.

Mark Ohleyer Potlatch Corporation Director of Marketing Board Member 2005	Mr. Ohleyer is the Director of Marketing for the forest products company, Potlatch Corporation. His responsibility includes segmenting customers and markets to provide business direction to enhance volume and profit performance, oversee company prospecting for acquisition of new business, creating company sales strategies and promotional tools and direct new company products. An active member of The Olympic Club since 1980, Mr. Ohleyer has been a consistent supporter of The Olympic Club Foundation.

Margarita Perry Merrill Lynch Vice President Board Member 2004	Ms. Perry has been a Financial Advisor since 1981, specializing in Estate, Retirement and Business Succession Planning for high Net Worth Individuals. She is currently Vice-President , Sr. Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch Private Client Group managing over 200 million in client assets. She is a Certified Financial Manager has a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Francisco State University, her Securities Licenses; Life and Disability Insurance license. Ms. Perry is a native San Franciscan and an active member of the Olympic Club since 1995. Ms. Perry has served four years on the Activities Committee, three years on the Junior Juvenile Committee and three years on the Olympic Club Finance Committee. As an active Tiburon resident and past President of her Homeowner's Association she is an advisor to the Town of Tiburon and Council Members regarding the ongoing efforts to underground utilities in residential neighborhoods in Marin. Ms. Perry is an avid golfer, hiker and traveler.

Stephen Revetria San Francisco Giants Vice President Board Member 2004	Mr. Revetria is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for hospitality events at A T &T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. His duties include managing the use of the park for corporate meetings and conventions as well as producing special events, concerts and sporting events. He played an integral role in the development and creation of the first dedicated full-time events team at a privately financed Major League ballpark. Under his direction, A T &T Park has received international award recognition for the execution of its private events. In addition, A T& T Park has hosted many of the region's largest and most spectacular public events. Mr. Revetria serves as President of the Hibernian Newman organization, as a Director for Boys Hope/Girls Hope, on the Board of the Guardsmen, The Olympic Club Foundation and the Committee of the President's Ambassador for the University of San Francisco, a member of The World Trade Club, Rotary International, and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.

John Ringgenberg Credit Suisse Securities Director-Private Banking USA Board Member 2006	Mr. Ringgenberg has been a Business, Estate and Financial Advisor since 1985 providing expert analysis for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations. His primary expertise and focus is Comprehensive Wealth Management. Mr. Ringgenberg is a published author and lecturer and has been active in many social, professional and industry groups, including SF Bay Area Council - Boys Scouts of America and the USF Business Advisory Council. A graduate of the University of California with a degree in Economics he received his Masters in Finance from the University of San Francisco. Prior to joining Credit Suisse Securities, Mr. Ringgenberg was employed by Mellon Financial Corp, Bank of America's Private Bank and CIGNA Financial Advisors.

Tony Salvadore Susquehanna Radio Station Senior Vice President Board Member 2005	A veteran of the radio business for 39 years Mr. Salvadore is the Senior Vice President and Market Manager/Cumulus Radio for KNBR, KFOG, KSAN, KTCT and KFFG, the 5 Cumulus station's in the Bay Area. His stations have won many national industry awards, including a National Association of Broadcasters, Marconi Radio Award, "Legendary Station of the Year" for KNBR and "Rock Station of the Year" for KSAN. He is a member of the Board of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame and was honored with the Dauer Award for extraordinary contributions. Serving two terms as Chairman of the Board for the Northern California Broadcasters Association, he has been recognized as "General Manager of the Year" by Radio Ink magazine. Raised in Upstate New York Mr. Salvadore has worked in Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago before coming to the Bay Area in 1982.

Michael Stecher Watson & Lanctot LLP Partner Board Member 2007	Mr. Stecher is a native San Franciscan, where he attended Saint Ignatius College Preparatory and the University of San Francisco where he received his BS in Accounting. He is a graduate of the Golden Gate University College of Law and in 1970 was admitted to the California Bar. Mr. Stecher is a partner in the law firm of Watson & Lanctot. In practice for 34 years he has also taught transportation law courses at Golden Gate University. His practice specializing in business, probate, estate planning, administrative and transportation. He has also served as Judge-Pro-Tem in Contra Costa County. He is serving as the current president of the Saint Ignatius College Preparatory Alumni Association. Mr. Stecher and his wife Pat have 5 children. Mr. Stecher has been a member of The Olympic Club since1965 and has served on the Board of Directors of the Club.

John Trauth JRT & Associates Consultant Board Member 2002	John Trauth is the former Executive Director of the Development Fund, a nonprofit organization which helps create innovative financing programs for affordable housing. He is the author of "Your Retirement, Your Way" (McGraw-Hill, 2007) and a professional speaker. He serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Citizens Housing Corporation, a nonprofit housing developer. He is also on the Board of Alliance Francaise and the Fort Mason Foundation, and serves of the Advisory Committee of the University of San Francisco's School of Business and management. He graduated from Colgate University and holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He was Tennis Commissioner and served as the first Chair of the Tennis Committee at the Olympic Club.

Valerie Wilson McVee Inc. Chief Financial Officer Board Member 2002	Valerie has twelve years of investment banking and operating experience in the technology arena. She is currently CFO of MeeVee, Inc, an online entertainment destination for the discovery of online video and TV. Valerie came to MeeVee after having served as CFO and co-founder of Stoke, a telecommunications equipment provider in the fixed mobile convergence space. Prior to Stoke, she was COO for SpecTir, a high-resolution remote sensing company. Previously, she led business and corporate development efforts at Skystream Networks/Tandem and Procket Networks/Cisco. Previous to these operating roles, Valerie was Vice President at Robertson Stephens Investment Bank. Valerie received her BA and MA in Philosophy from Stanford University and her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. In addition to the Olympic Club Foundation, Valerie sits on the Stanford Athletic Board. Athletics played a very significant role in Valerie's youth, as she played tennis at a national and international level through college.
