The Olympic Club Foundation
History & GovernanceContributeGrants & AwardsNewsEventsOlympic Club

As the oldest athletic club in the United States with world class facilities and athletes, the Olympic Club created the Foundation in 1992 to give back to the Bay Area community. Over the past 15 years, through your generosity, we have granted $2.6 million dollars to programs that serve over 50,000 kids. There can be no better cause for the Foundation of the premier athletic club in the country. What our Foundation does is consistent with everything we believe in as Olympians. The Foundation’s mission has stayed consistent through the years: to grant funds and support programs that share the belief that participation in organized athletics enriches young lives and develops future community leaders.

ou won't want to miss this legendary fundraising event. The day begins with 18 holes of golf on two of the most beautiful and renown world-class golf courses. Any golf enthusiast would love to play either the Lake, ranked as one of the top courses in the United States and host of the 1955, 1966, 1987, 1998, and 2012 US Open or the equally challenging and prestigious Ocean Course.

You may also have a rare opportunity to win a spot to advance to the National Championship at Kaanapali Golf Resort, January 7-12, 2009, staged in conjunction with the PGA Tour's 2009 Mercedes-Benz Championship at Kapalua's Plantation Course.

Tennis Anyone?

As part of the 27th Golf Classic, join us for the Tennis Classic. The Olympic Club is one of the premier tennis facilities in the country. Just recently, it was named the USPTA Facility of the Year in Northern California. The facility includes 6 lighted hard courts and 2 lighted clay courts, with its own self contained Tennis clubhouse, and Pro Shop. Steeped in history and tradition, The Club was host to the first Davis Cup matches west of the Mississippi back in 1936, when the United States defeated Japan 5–0.
